Halloween Costumes

Finaly the computer is fully functioning, and has a new improved brain even if it doesn't have much in it at present. I am reloading all my programs as I feel up to it!!! Any way I have also got around to uploading the photos of the final choice of one picky 12 yera old, and thought I would let you see as I was very chuffed with myself for the final result. Here is a link, just click on Halloween 2003 to get there. If you are on dail up they could be a slow load I'm sorry about that.

i am soooo loving looking at all the halloween photos! this year, DS (21 months) went as a clown-my mom helped me by making his costume, as well as one for the dog , and my daughter decided at the last minute, rather than have me sew her a costume, to recycle her cape from last year's witch's costume and be a vampire. still, got lots of ooohs and ahhhs over the cape (really fun metallic fabric from joann's....)

Thanks for sharing! I love the silver thing. How did you do the second set of arms? Or was there someone inside?

No, but quite a lot of people thought that it was his little brother, probably because his brother was hidden behind a black mask as death. It was just another set of sleeves, which I stuffed and sewed into the side seam. They were atached to his real sleves by subtle use of DH's fishing line purloined while he was away !

He nearly won best boys costume but aparently missed out as one of the judges thought he had already won last year! Not true but there you go, lots and lots of people kept coming up and saying you realy should have won, flattering but annoying after 20 people have told you the same thing. Claire

What great fun!!! The silver one looks like Syd from "Monsters Inc." One of our favorite movies, BTW.

Fabulous job, Claire. They are both just great. Thanks for posting them. :)
