Heads-up on Bernina

On a related note, I can comment that the yogurts with live bacteria certainly help with reducing gassiness in the body. I suffered badly from burping and trapped wind while I was pregnant, saw that someone had recommended eating these yogurts, and bingo - it worked! So - it might well help reduce smelly bedrooms caused by gassy SO's!

Now if I could persuade my DH to stop stealing the duvet and sleeping on top of it every time I go and settle DD during the night, so I have to fight to get back into bed, I'd get an extra 10mins or so sleep every night!

Buy an extra duvet, charge it to him, and keep it on a chair or nightstand at your side of the bed.

EXCELLENT suggestion! Fighting to get back in bed with a scrap of cover over you cannot be good to induce restful sleep. And you can always nudge him and tell him it's his turn to get up with your daughter and then you steal all the cover. Hahaha

Scandinavian beds are made with a bottom sheet, and a duvet in two parts

- one for each side of the bed. The duvet covers stand in for sheets and are washed often. Each sleeper has his (or her) own duvet, even though in the same bed. Strikes me as a very sensible idea!!

No, Joanne two answers are full colon cleanse [evil grin]. And no sugar or starch, nothing for the intestinal bugs to feed off of.

I've started back on Atkins so the little bubbles should stop in a day or two. AK in PA

I had some excellent spicy red beans and rice last weekend. I was playing John Phillip Souza for two days, and had to put the sheets back on the bed three times that first night.

Actually though, I was able to minimize lots of gas problems by identifying many food allergies/intolerances that I had, and quit eating the stuff. Now I'm not nearly as impacted by that stuff.

ROFL!! I am putting Beano on the shopping list. I've used that before to good effect. I'm also looking for a place to get epazote. Of course, they will only help when I am doing the food prep. Meals away and meals made by his nibs won't get the special treatment.

Beano won't help if its some sort of food intolerance. Actually, I eat beans a lot these days with very little problem. I just had to avoid the ones I am allergic to.

Adzuki beans are VERY digestible. Good too.

Ron is this the same part that is breaking in the Pfaff machines since

2001? Several of the ladies in our qui ld have had the hooks just snap. They are being replaced by the local guy with hooks from the old machines like the 7550 etc. He does not have many donor machines left now. Just hates that new hook assembly. Luckily this is happening under warranty so far. The models 2044-6-8 and the 2054-6 seem to be the most affected by this problem.

Similar problem perhaps, but the Puffs use a rotary hook and I believe it is the Gib that is the plastic part on those, the Bernina is an oscillating shuttle and it is the post the bobbin case attaches to that is the problem there.
