HELP

I'm trying to get the drapes done and I tried to run my finger into the seam hiting the side of my finger with the "needle screw" The needle of course broke. Now I can't get a needle into the machine far enough so it doesn't hit the bobbin stand..

Then, I took apart my sewing/embroidery machine (I had a needle break in it yesterday, too) and the bobbin thread keeps tangling and I end up with gobs of bobbin thread in the seam. I have changed the needle, and changed bobbins (twice). I have taken the machine apart and clearned the bobbin carrier.

Any more suggestions on either of these problems before I cart them in for service--or throw them out the window?

Thanks

Jon

Sounds like some part of the broken is still up in the machine. Can you use a magnet to retrieve the piece of broken needle? Or tap the area where you insert a needle, with the set-screw *all the way* out, to see if something falls out?

Nests under the work are almost always caused by improper threading/tension on the *upper* thread. Unthread the upper path, clean everything well, including between the tension disks if possible, and re-thread. Test to see if that fixes things.

Patience, grasshopper....

It would help if you told us what the make and models of these machines are.
