here's maya's posh frock!

I put in the zip today, but i need to redo it because the tension wasn't quite right and i got some loops.

the sash is going to be made of that tangerine satin. maya doesn't look good in yellow, and she could do better with a brighter pink, but she fell in love with that pink print, and the tangerine goes perfectly with it. I was afraid it would look too costume-y, but seeing her try it on...she was just too cute!

That's really lovely. I like how you did the piping around the armholes and neck. Those are perfect colors for a child. Very playful and elegant at the same time.

thank you,

the colors aren't her best colors, but they don't wash her out as much as i thought they would...and she loves the colors...that's most important. That was my first attempt at making piping, and it was fun...it was a bit tricky, but next time it will come out better.

yeah...she does feel like a princess in it... i almost couldn't get her to take it off when she tried it on, but it was still too long and she was tripping all over it...she didn't care, she still wanted to be a princess!
