I took the plunge

After a week of research and dithering I finally decided to get the Brother PE-150 and the Ultimate Box. I decided software could wait, as I may never actually use it. I ordered everything today and can't wait for it to get here. I'm really excited about being able to do some embroidery.

hi maureen... i just traded up from a bernina deco (the brother's 150 kissing cousin) to an ellure. ihad MANY happy years using my deco--they are great little machine!

as far as softwear, oftentimes you can find used or dated softwear for really low prices. the most important thing to remember...there is never such thing as too much stabilizer!! betsey "we do not inherit the earth, we caretake it for our children"

The new machine has arrived and I'm waiting for the weekend so I can play. I'm thinking everyone gets embellished towels for Christmas this year!

maureen.... some other ideas...if you have little girls...i made my daughter (for ALL seasons/reasons/holidays) hair barretts---i would stitch a design on felt, fuse to another piece of felt, and cut out...then glue on a barret back....

other simple things are towels, tshirts and sweatshirts...and a neat "Holder"---stich a design on a placemat, fold in thirds, stitch like an envelope.....the girls seem to like it for makeup, boys like it for cars....

enjoy! betsey "we do not inherit the earth, we caretake it for our children"
