I won Bernina 334ds

I won the Bernina 334ds overlocker I posted a query about!!

And for £100!!

I can't believe it. :))

I've sent off for a manual as it doesn't come with one and am eagerly awaiting a date of arrival.

I'm so excited :))

It's here!!!

And it works! Well, it does now that I got a copy of the manual and found the pull up thread looper things wrapped up in some of the bubble wrap. I managed to get it threaded up by following the manual and I'm away :))

BTW anyone know what the black elbow shaped metal piece to the left of the presser foot is for? I can't find any reference to it in the manual.

Thanks.

Now - what is the best project to start on? :)))

Congratulations!

Sounds like the thread cutter on my Bernette MO234.

I thought that was behind the presser foot. I'll have another look at the manual.

Thanks

Ah, you are probably correct, the thread cutter is behind the presser foot. Do you mean the curved, black, spring-loaded kinda thingy which starts at the left, and goes to the front of the presser foot? I've always wondered about that too, all it seems to do is get in the way of threading the needle[s]. I'm sure it has some purpose...

I think so. It's held on by a screw on the left side of the presser foot, comes down and then curves forwards parallel to the presser foot. Like an elbow.

That's what I thought. Maybe it's there to make us wonder why it's there :))
