Ice skating costumes

Does anyone know of some good sources for the nude netting used for the fill-ins on ice skating costumes? You would think that in Las Vegas, with all the showgirl costumes there'd be something local, but no!

Anyway, in a sleep-deprived fog, I somehow managed to agree to take on some costuming work (but I did at least specify I would only take one or two jobs to start to see if it would be worth it to all involved). I may be asking for advice on 2-way lycra and attaching glitter later...

It's called illusion, and you can have your pick of reputable (and other LOL) places that sell it that are shown on a Google search.

Also look for something called souffle (pronounced "soo-fla"), which you can find at costume supply houses. Check out Theater House in Covington, KY, or Baer's Fabrics in Louisville, KY. Souffle is what they use in stage costumes when they want the actor to look nude, but not be.

Thanks for all the links. I am looking forward to my first job, so those will come in handy.

I will also be digging out my grandma's portable, I guess for even more costume work. This will be down and dirty on-the-fly costume alterations as the Spring recital is coming up. I was told the last person that did it set up her machine in a corner, pinned while the child was wearing the costume and stitched it up on the spot.

Most reports were that she had a price chart like from an alterations shop for quick jobs and charged $15/hr if she had to do major work. The most I think will need to be done might be in letting out a tad or lengthening for those pesky growth spurts. I'll have to see how big some of the jobs will be before I set my prices, but the other person's methods sound reasonable. Anyone else do anything like this and have some advice?
