Irked about previous request for SM manual

Your apology for misjudging me is accepted, although unnecessary or what I sought. My hope is just that you and others will continue to contribute to this NG and not switch off because of perceived slights or suspicions of people taking advantage of them.

I'm new at sewing and have ambitious plans, but my reach exceeds my grasp and I seek help wherever I can find it. There's lots of OT chaff in this and other sewing groups, but the "wheat" makes the winnowing worthwhile for me.

My offer still stands re: the XL-II Maintenance Manual I mentioned earlier, (as opposed to the subject Operator's manual which arrived from New Zealand this afternoon) Since the "swap" I offered is no longer needed, I offer you a copy of it gratis as a gesture of goodwill. Just send me a private email with your mailing address and we'll finish up without cluttering up this NG further with personal transactions.

I wasn't apologizing because I thought you were asking for it but because I was truly sorry to have misjudged your actions. I have been in that seat before and didn't particularly enjoy it.

Well, seriously it happens around the internet all the time. And I honestly will think twice before offering something if I am not prepared to do it immediately.

Please don't lose your ambitious plans. Nobody on this NG ever gets anything right the first time, and personally I have been very encouraged by that and have tried things beyond my reach and have eventually ended up succeeding.
