it's 12/5 and I haven't started my Christmas sewing yet!!

Well the Christmas sewing never got off the ground, but then again not much shopping got done either and certainly not baking. I'm in a brace, ankle to almost not quite butt, waiting for an MRI and probably arthroscopy surgery on the knee. I kid you not when I say we are also in the process of trying to sell our house and be out of here by the middle of February. We really want to sell, just didn't expect it to move this fast. There's just too much for DH to take care of and winter snow and ice is not easy to handle. I'm looking forward to going into something smaller. I think it's time to get out and have more fun instead of worrying about the problems home ownership brings. So with all the things that have been going on around here I'm a very happy person, looking forward to spending Christmas with DS and DDIL and a couple of grands. On Thursday there will be 19 of us here, what better way to celebrate all the good things in our life, having the whole family here for the day. Merry Christmas everyone and a joyous New Year. Love this group so much, Juno

*aaack* How frustrated you must be! I hope everyone takes the opportunity to wait on you, as you have waited on them over the years. Best of luck with the selling of the house, and downsizing. Make sure you get a sewing room in the bargain. ;-) Nice kitchen, too.

My family is great. They are bringing most of the food, I'll supply some snack things. They have all promised to help us with the packing and moving. Since I'm rather organized I know how I want things packed and which rooms first. The one thing I'll miss here is my glass top stove.I have no problems about buying another one sometime in the future for an apartment. That's the future though. Most of the places we've looked at have very nice kitchens so I think that will be fine. It's a given that I get a sewing room. We'll set it up as a combination sewing/guest/computer room. I'm lobbying to put the TV there also, I just don't like TV's in the living room. That really depends on what we find in living space though. We've been unable to take anything because we had to wait until we have a solid commitment on the buyer's part. None of that bothers me though. Unlike many people who sell there home and move into an apartment we still have a cottage on Cape Cod. So we still have a lovely place to spend time gardening, and enjoying the outdoors. Juno

Juno! What a bummer. Sending you big (((hugs))) from Cincinnati.

Merry Christmas to you, and to all our other sewing pals, near and far.
