After a completely fruitless search both online and locally
for something colorful and interesting, I found:
http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2967&PRODID=xprd790582
The local TSWLTH Super Store did not have this particular
fabric. I ordered two yards, I'm going to use New Look 6759
v. C
http://www.simplicity.com/dv1_v4.cfm?design=6759
with self-fabric loops and covered buttons. If it won't
work for a light weight jacket I'll make a blouse or
something. I was even able to use one of my 40% off
coupons. ;-)

Thanks, I sure hope so! ;-)

I have always loved paisley as well. I was hoping for a
little heavier fabric, but I may play around with
underlining the whole thing with some black rayon-knit
fusible interfacing I got from thaisilks.com. It worked
very well on some sulk satin, I'll test on scraps of the new
fabric.

OOOH!! That will be pretty. And it should give you a pretty versatile
jacket. Would look good dressed up or with jeans. Can't wait to see
pictures. And I know it will match all the way around. ;)

Oh, yeah! I find flannel nightgowns ideal for shopping trips these
days. No worries about closing time in the malls, either. Home theatre
is getting to be the way to go, too. Talked to my cousin yesterday and
she said she and her husband took their grandson to a movie matinee, and
it cost them $40. They can buy second-hand CDs for under $5 at a nearby
store. A little Orville Redenbacher in the microwave, and there you go!
As for sports....well, I never did get that. The old man makes up for
me, though. He even watches golf.

Lanz flannel nightgowns? What's to object to? The added bonus is that
I can run out to the backyard and feed the feral cats and birds before I
get dressed. If the neighbors feel compelled to watch, they don't see
anything worth getting out the binoculars.

I take my nightshirt off at bedtime.
At the moment -- almost bedtime -- I'm wearing DH's flannel
nightshirt. I guessed wrong at how long to make it, decided it was
easier to make him another one than to lengthen this one. It's just
right for me. (Mine is floor length and I keep rolling the typing
chair over it.)
But I'm going to have to get around to putting apron-height pockets on
it. Shirt-type pockets are no use to me.

I know where you are with the shopping, but for me 'theatre' means a
trip to the London to somewhere like The Young Vic to see Pete
Postlethwait do a marvelous King Lear, or to the Patrick Stewart and
David Tennant version of Hamlet (Patrick was great, but David in
hospital having back surgery, which was a shame) with The Royal
Shakespeare Company. Film is cinema, and different! ;)
