Junki DLL8300N, Junki DLL8300NH Sewing Machine Good?

I called up Westchester Sewing Machine regarding their Internet sale Consew CN3115RB-1 $245.99 / $425.99 /

Well, it seem the Consew machine is not auto lubricate and they recomend me a Junki DLL8300N fully assemble for $595.

Any advice? My wife need a reliable industrial sewing machine with 9" clearance between the needle to the machine (What do you call that???). We really cannot afford a fancy expensive machine, however we will pay if we have to.

Thanks, we really appreciate your advice and suggestions.

My wife has the Juki 8300N and her only complaint has been that it is not quite as powerful as 8700N. At times, she has had trouble sewing heavy denim. She uses the machine extensivly in an alteration business and has not had any problems in the past year that she has had it.

Good luck.

I waited and waited for opinion and suggestions. It seems this newsgroup is quite hostile, while those in alt.home.repairs are more helpful. Yesterday, I went ahead and bought the Juki 8300N. Before, I settle with Juki 8300N. I asked about the Juki 8300NH, Brother DB2-B755 and Consew too. In certain place's people prefer Brother while other prefer Junki. The Juki 8300NH, is slower and not suitable for silk.

I should be getting it tomorrow or Thursday. I bought a complete knockdown as I think I am competent to assemble it. Anyway, the seller promised to help me if I get into trouble.

Thanks for your posting. I appreciate it. I am sure my wife would love it.

Since I would be no help at all in your decision to buy one of the machines about which you talked, I didn't answer your post. I have never seen a JUKI or a CONSEW machine in person, only a couple pictures and the little I know about any of the Brother machines, I could write on my little fingernail. Maybe not everyone is hostile, it's possible some others are like me, not enough knowledge to be of help. Emily

Quite. Juki are new to to the UK domestic market, and I've never seen those models for sale. I know nothing about those particular Brother machines, and my experience with other models is not encouraging. Had you asked about budget Toyota and Silver Viscount machines available in the UK, I'd probably have been much more likely to comment!

Happy sewing! And be assured, when we DO know something, we tell you - again and again, andagain, andagainandagainandagai.... ;D

Well, ya know, sometimes folks just don't have the info you need and don't want to waste bandwith saying "Gee, I don't know anything about those machines." It's quite a jump to assume a group is "hostile" on the basis of lack of replies to one posting. Obviously you've never set foot here before or you'd know that isn't true.

Iris (PS - It would help if you would proofread your headers and make sure you are spelling the name of the machine correctly -- Junki???)

Hostile? only on PMS days. Seriously, if no one has the answer, no one posts a reply. Much better IMO than useless replies if you ask me.

LOL Thats about all I have to offer. I once saw a Juki Industrial at a sack making place. They told me it will sew through 1" of anything that gets in the needles way. It sounded like an anti-aircraft gun.

Emily, Kate, I.E.Z. and Penny. Please excuse me for my choice of words "quite hostile", I really don't mean it. I was upset after waiting for so long and no one reply.

Many of you including myself and family members depend on the internet for one thing or another, beside pleasure and entertainment. I use the newsgroup extensively seeking alternative advices and helping others too.

Thanks everyone and offence intended. The Juki, is on the way and will be here on Friday.

Bye

You know, it's quite possible that no one who regularly reads this newsgroup has ever owned one of those machines. Ergo, no opinions.

I could have easily made one up, but I suspect that's not what you were hoping for.
