Thanks for the macine suggestions. I've had luck using "Seam-Grip" for water-proofing. Taping all seams with gortex seam tape would be the cats-meow though. I'll have to look into that.

No tape I guees!! :) Seam Grip should be thin enough to "wick" into the semas via the thread.
I just built one of those stoves this weekend! I didn't have any dentured alchohol or methanol at home so I'm picking some up today. Looks pretty slick, I hope it works. The fact that I needed to use a Guiness Draught can to build the base, made it easy to justify trying out.
OK OK no gortex tape on my SI nylon :)
Oh, you poor thang!!! You _had_ to drink the Guiness to get the empty can. How you suffer! Anything for progress, you are such a hero. ;-)
