Hi, all,
I made a polar fleece pullover for my husband. It took me forever to find a pattern that was close to what he wanted; all the ones I found seemed to have zippers. Very vexing. I ended up with Simplicity #
5782. Hubby wanted a mock turtke neck, but no where could I find one of those. In order to get the chest the size my husband wanted, I had to go with the XL (he likes them bulky). It actually turned out very nice, but hubby feels the neck is too big. Personally, I hate having anything touch my neck, so I thought it was great, but it wasn't for me, unfortunately.
Question: If I make him another (Fabricville has a great sale on right now), does anyone have ideas on how to make the neck smaller? Would it work if I use a smaller neck band, or should I sew bigger seam allowances at the shoulder seam? Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Cynthia
