Meta-sewing

Today, I'm making an unbleached-muslin cover for my sleeve board.

Considered using the old aluminum-cloth cover for a pattern, but it had been on the board so long that it was easier to put the board on the muslin, sketch around it, and add an inch and a half all around.

I do that with the big board, too: lay out the calico(muslin), with the felt on top, then the board, on the floor, draw round them and cut, then stretch the fabric over the board and staple it in place!

Hm... Must re-cover ironing board! Funny how the fusible glue always sticks to the board the one time you forget to use the Teflon thingy to protect it!
