Mostly OT

Finished Therapy today for my knee. No Pain, no more cane, no more needing my very patient DH to walk up and downstairs with me. The change in the last two weeks has been unbelievable. Now I feel comfortable getting back to my sewing projects. The tablecloth from Hell can finally get made. Now that I feel better I see it as a very doable fun project and I'm looking forward to making it.

How lovely!!! My right knee is a weather forecaster, and is difficult on the stairs going down, it's not bad going up.

I bought some Capzasin to rub on it, thinking it would be a substitute for heat wraps that are so expensive. Didn't feel a thing! No heat at all. Very disappointed. But the next day, I had Enormous Knee. It wasn't painful, it was just huge! I decided then that it just wasn't the remedy for me, and I was going to throw it away. Then I got to wondering.... what if I were going somewhere, all dressy, with a bit of decolletage.... Might that be a place to put the Capzasin say the day before? No trial as yet....

LOL. Forget it, Joanne. The nights of a dressy bit of décolletage have lost their charm. We see heaps more bubbling out bosoms at the grocery store that anybody ever wanted to see. Polly

that's an interesting concept and certainly a new use for capzasin. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you.I picked up CVS generic brand for DH a couple of years ago. He had a big problem with his right hand. Swelling and the pain was so bad he couldn't drive any longer than half hour or so without stopping. Doctoring just didn't help.He used it about a month and it did wonders for him. No more swelling or pain since then. Juno

Thanks but not for the weather report. I think winter has finally arrived. Snow today, high winds tomorrow. Juno

For that, I tend to use my paraffin bath, which works wonders. But I can't fit a knee or foot into it.

That's good news! I remember what a pain in the very lower part of the neck it was when I had to use crutches for 6 weeks and our house being mainly staircase. Did you lose weight, too?

I'm sorry but I can't remember the Tablecloth from Hell; what was the name of the thread so I can look it up an re-read it... Anyway, I know exactly what a difference health makes when it comes to tackling tricky projects. Amazing how simple some of them turn out once your in good health again. ;-) Good luck for the project! (And stay well!)

Yay!!! It's a real drag to function with chronic pain, I'm so happy for you that therapy has worked to alleviate your issue. Now, get to work on that tablecloth and get it out the door so you can do something fun! ;-)
