Nashville Fabric Shops

Welllll, we do have the usual JoAnn's ETC. We also have Textile Fabrics and Calico Corners, but Calico Corners does target the quilter. My first time in Textile Fabrics was yesterday, Saturday, and I enjoyed my excursion. Close to Textiles Fabrics is a salvage fabric store and if I remember correctly most of their offerings are in the upholstery range, but could be wrong. They're on the same street but a few blocks apart. Another store in that area is Fabric House, but I can't give a report as I haven't been there yet.

I think you have it backwards; Calico Corners is a home dec store, and always has been, and is a national chain. We have one here in our area. Textile Studio (isn't that their name? They send me flyers periodically) has dress fabrics, but I've not ever been there, so it's possible they could also have quilting fabrics. The flyers advertise sales on Ultrasuede, among other things, so I've always wanted an excuse to travel five hours just to fabric shop!

You could very well be correct. I just happened to see a buzz in the newspaper about them a few weeks ago. Haven't actually been to their store and they don't send out flyers here. Too bad, but perhaps they rely on word of mouth.
