Need a previously posted web-site

a month or two ago, one of you posted a great site... devoted to some great tailoring done by a woman in England. Her tailoring was so detailed that one dress she did with pin-stripes was elegant beyond words.

I've had this on my mind for some time, but didn't save the site.

Hopefully one of you remembers this and has it saved.

Thanks in advance

I did some searching in the google archive but didn't locate anything. I searched this group for "couture" "tailored" "English" "England", "pin-stripes" in both the subject line and message body but found zip. Do you have any additional info?

I remember seeing the suit, but can't remember who posted the site or any keywords that would help in searching.

Now that you mention it, I do remember some site with an amazingly complex arrangement of panels of stripes going every which way. I thought at the time it was probably much more interesting to make than to wear. But I didn't save the URL.

Aha! That is the one I remembered. Not "pin-stripes" but certainly an interesting concept for a striped dress.

Take a look at some of her other stuff. You may not like the garments (though I love them all), but you will appreciate the work. :)

Yup, that's the one!! Leave it to Kate and her encyclopedic brain. ;-)

I knew exactly which one Chris meant (but had failed to bookmark the site). Yes, her work is lovely; whenever I look at this I get really envious. Learning and practice can take you only so far, but to make stuff like that it takes something you can't learn, I think, and I'm dead sure I'm not gifted with it, nor will I ever be able to afford something like her garments (or will look nearly as good in any of them as they deserve). Therefore I'll have to drool over the garments in front of my computer. Sigh!

As another obsessive/compulsive pattern-matcher, I do very much appreciate her work. It's amazing stuff.

I saw it, too, now that you mention the stripes, but I was not interested in the suit and didn't bother saving it either.

thank you all. After I had posted this and even the TTT, my husband said he'd saved it for me. Isn't he just too grand?

Her site is free, unlike the other spamming response you've had.
