Need Ideas to re-use vinyl

We are taking down old mini blinds and putting up heavy vinyl shades to keep out the sun. Lowe's very nicely cut off the shades to the correct width and I brought home the cut-off part that is 8"wide X 60 or 80" long. I have 6 rolls of it and I need some ideas of what to do with it! We just got this today so I haven't had much time to think upon it, but I probably won't make anything until December, so please help me with ideas! Thanks! Barbara in FL

Your welcome I also think you could make some coasters by gluing two together and maybe put a little batting in the middle. or even hot pads for your table, sewing several pieces together and then filling the same way as for coasters. Juno

You're welcome! ;-) My first thought with strips that narrow was for some sort of crafty thing. Good luck,

Place mats?

I use vinyl cut to three inch squares then to triangle as supports on drawstring back pack style book bags. I make these to use scrap material and then give them to customer spending over $50. Occasionally I actually manage to sell one for $10 when a customer is just desperate for a bag in camp.

Simple shopping bags perhaps.

I spin and so use vinyl offcuts to protect my knees when I use a flick carder to open up fibre before spinning. I can put the fibre on the vinyl and drag the flick carder throught it against the vinyl and so it saves a lot of wear and tear on my clothes and my skin underneath. :-))

After even just 5 years in the heat, I just don't think they would last very long if you even thought of a craft to use them up! Barbara in HOT Central FL, but it's gonna be cooler for the week end

If you wait l>>

I would not have thought of cutting the triangle supports. Thanks!
