Need source for pre-ruffled lace or tulle in bright colors

I am at work on the costumes for another play (How the West was Dun) and am making cancan outfits. The jr. high kids are making them rather so I need a simple way to get that lace on the inside. All I can find online is white, ivory and pale pink. Any ideas?

Aaack!!! Several of my bookmarked costume sites are gone. I googled "ruffled tulle" and got hits, but trust me, you don't want to do to some of them. ;-} I didn't locate any sites for pre-gathered tulle of any width.

You might take a look here for pre-gathered lace:

also have lots of colors in may widths of flat tulle:

them to run gathering stitches in tulle should be a fun experience... NOT! Beverly

Thanks Beverly, That is closer to what I am looking for. Each skirt needs 17 yds. of gathered lace so I really want to avoid gathering it ourselves. However I did not know you could buy tulle precut in rolls. If I use my overlock and adjust the differential, maybe they could run it through and gather it. Or am I nuts? They are 6th, 7th and 8th graders.

Do you have access to an old staight-stitch Singer and a ruffling foot? Making ruffles that way is the least painful way I know of. It's like magic, really, as you set it for the amount of ruffling you want, then just feed the fabric to the presser foot, and perfect ruffles come out the back of it.

Yes, I hadn't thought about using the gathering feature of a serger, my old serger didn't have differential feed so I've never tested that on tulle. But I bet it would work very well.

I have been considering this option all day long (while at the school with the kids) because I really liked the tulle they had on that site. We may be doing that. Plus, tulle seems to be alot cheaper than lace.
