There are new scissors and shears that are available with larger ring sizes that will provide more comfort for larger fingers. The forged tools (Gingher Style) are available for the shear sizes of six, eight, and ten inch tools. You can get them with coated vinyl rings that provide a cushion to the tool. For scissors, the sizes available are three, four, and five inch tools. You can get these tools with either the vinyl coating or the removable thumb pads.
There are also some stamped tools (Fiskars Style) that also have larger rings as well. These handles do have cushion rings and can be used for either right or left-handed individuals.
