I've used that one and freenews.netfront.net - since my ISP dropped usenet, a couple years ago. netfront carried some binary groups until recently. john t

Not free; something less than $2 per month and well worth it considering I never have to worry with its reliability. Except, around Christmas somebody there takes their children to work and we have a goofy couple of days. Polly

Do they provide binary newsgroups ? I really miss my photography newsgroups .. John T.

Hi Polly ;

Nope - alt binary or alt binaries would give a better indication ...

specific groups might include

alt binaries photography alt binaries photos original alt binaries pictures wallpaper

just to name a few.

binary data files are very large - photos & music & such - news servers don't like that much bandwidth.

Thanks for checking John T.
