old singer machine, help needed

I have an old singer machine that I'm trying to renovate. I think its a'Victorian model 27' but i need to confirm this to start sourcing spare parts. Description: the serial number is on a plate inset into the base of the machine, it is 13715592, no prefix letters. Using Singer serial details, it would suggest it was manufactured in 1895, but it has a motor fitted (although I thinkits a later add on, it a Hillman motor). the decal/design i have identified on the internet has 'Victorian'. The hand wheel has 12 spokes, in pairs (6}. it has 2 removable sliding plates either side of the needle. There is an access port (metal plate that swings away) to view the tension arm. The front of the machine is a (was) polished plate, no designs and the base is rectangular. The motor is fitted to the rear and has the pre fitted (origonal) mounting screw and mount.

I have attempted to use various sites to identify it, but parts like the motor mounting fitting don't seem omathc up.

You can actually upload pictures here, it will be much easier for people to see what you got as opposed to reading a text description, even a detailed one. The more detailed your textual description is, the less chances are that people will actually read it. Not so with pictures - more details on the picture will make people stay on it longer trying to match it with what they've seen before - that's just how we're all wired.

Anyhow, just an observation from personal experience - the best way to ID anything is to post a picture of it. Look for the picture upload button right above the details field on the reply form. A link to the picture will be added for people that read this using a traditional Usenet reader.

"Don't seem to match up" - not sure why you're trying to match up a motor mounting bracket - if the motor was fitted later (but not very recently), the bracket is likely a custom part, made on site by the mechanic fitting the motor. I think that IDing the mass produced motor was the best you'll ever get. Even then, what work does the bracket need done other than perhaps retouching paint, anyhow?
