Olwyn Mary in New Orleans

So glad you're safe.

Do you still think your house is up high enough to avoid being flooded?

Shhheee'''sss SSSAAAFFFEEE!!! YAY! Sooooo glad to hear from you! And give your friends a special thank you from us all here for rescuing you like that!

Things just seem to be getting worse down there. I'm all out of fingers to cross, and the prayer wheels are spinning fast enough to take off! I did feel ever so sorry for all the prison inmates stuck on their roofs and walls, and the road, waiting for help. Re-homing them is going to be a serious headache for all...

I know it is. Some young, fit friends who decided to ride it are reporting in regularly. Our area is still completley dry, the Zoo is dry, the animals are fine. No drinking water, of course, and no available medical attention, which is why I decided to get us out.It seems the looting and shooting are not nearly as bad as is being prtrayed in the media, although the situation is so dire to atart with that that is only very small comfort to those who have lost everything.

Olwyn Mary, NOT in New Orleans.

Olwyn Mary, I'm so relieved to hear that you and DH are doing well. Thank you for reporting in. The gals in the PatternMaster forum have been wondering about you!

There's a Katrina Survivor website where you can post your names, so other friends and family members can check to make sure you got out safely. The URL is:

anyone here know Elaine Fauvre? She also lives in that area and is a sewing kind of gal, and a PatternMaster Boutique user. No one has heard from her, so I'd appreciate very much if anyone knows of her whereabouts if you would let me know at sewstorm at fuse dot net Many thanks, and hallelujah, OM!

Olwyn Mary,

I am SOOOOOO glad to know that you and your husband are all right and safe. I hope the house is still fine when you get to go home, but the two most important things in the house are out of it now.

You are in my thoughts. Give yourself a big squeeze for me.
