Once burned, forever cautious

I'm in the final stages of cutting out a tunic-and-jeans set, and being *very* careful with the scraps.

This leads me to wonder: is there anyone present who has never, not once, cut a collar or a facing out of something that turned out to not be a scrap?

Not me. How about cutting two "right" sleeves/collars/facings instead of one right and one left? BTDT.

How about assembling both fronts of a print gauze tunic wrong-side-out? The back and sleeves were fine. :-}

Ah yes. My maternity suit for my sister's wedding. 1960. A soft sort of lipstick pink velvet. Had a wide flat draped bow on the left shoulder. Not enough fabric to cut a real left sleeve but the flat bow and a corsage covered the evidence. You know? I don't think I ever did that again. Burned and forever cautious? Yes. yes. Polly
