OT Easter

I want to wish all my friends on the group a most wonderful, blessed Easter Sunday. You know, Easter will never be this early again until 2228, that's

220 years from now. Emily

Beg to differ. I have it as another 152 years from now, 2160. :-)

Happy Easter on Sunday, and Happy Spring Holiday on Monday, and fertility for those who want it, and not for those who don't. ;-)

Happy Easter to you all - I hope the Easter bunny brings your favoured confections.

Lizzy

PS I'll give the personal fertility a miss, though I'm sure the vegetable patch will be glad of its sahre.

Oh well, I got the information from a cousin and didn't check it for authenticity. I don't think I want to live that long, 152-years or 220, even if I were able. LOL. Emily

Snopes did an article on it.

lists of Easter dates from another source which shows the next March23rd as 2160, as well as various methods of actually calculating the datesfor any given year. I also found their references for the article ratherbemusing.

FWIW, I checked my info at the National Maritime Musuem (UK and associated with the Royal Observatory at Greenwich).

That's a lot! It would take me to my 100th year. It could bed too much of a good thing.

Is there such a thing as too much bed?

Beverly, ornery? Why yes, I am....

I just washed my hands and I can't do a thing with them.....

Could be. And yes, there is such a thing as too much bed. So there.

*Pfffffftttt*

Either way, I certainly won't be around to see it, not that I want to. I wasn't too thrilled to be wearing my red winter coat to church over my mint green crepe de chine dress!

Listen you guys, I think we should all hang around at least 20 more years, then we can have the wicked old ladies sewing group. OOOOps I forgot, we are the wicked old ladies sewing group. I still plan to be here at least 20 more, maybe longer, my kids deserve it. Juno

I was just at DD's fitting the vest. DD instructed DGD to be careful with all the Highland outfits I have made for her, because maybe someday she'll "...have a daughter who wants to dance and 'Grandma won't be able to make them' ". Huh? I offered to make any great-grandchildren's outfits... Don't need my knees to be perfect to run a sewing machine. ;-)

Oh for Pete's...... Ok. The great-great-grands, you might want to pass on making for them. But I think you can handle another generation yet. And for the GGG's.....I suggest you sit in the corner and coach them through making their own. ;)

".

LOL! I am descended from two grandmothers who lived to almost 100. However, our females also seem to wait until they are 30-or-so to produce heirs. So by the GGG generation, yes indeed, I'll be sitting in the rocking chair coaching them.
