Thanks for the good wishes! I had a wonderful day yesterday and it extended into today with phone calls & cards from relatives & friends. DS helped with the boxing up and mailing the gifts to his siblings and aunts, then took me out for a fab supper, at which time he gave me a bracelet. He had asked for vacation time off between Christmas/New Year's as we expected younger DD & family out here as usual, but too much flu/pneumonia is preventing them from coming, so now it is up to me to decide where where I want to go. On the subject of sewing, I made most of the GC aprons w/matching mini potholders, but decided to keep them here and take them when we go to the older DGD's graduation in May. They were really fun to make. All the adults will receive their 'rice bags' though, done in fabrics connected to their carrers &/or hobbies, ie. medical for the doc DSIL, guitars for DS here, horses for younger DS, sewing for older DD, etc. One DD sent fleece jammies, which I think(hope) I'll enjoy. I have always been a 100% cotton person, so have never worked w/fleece, but if these are comfortable, look out Hancock's, I'll be shopping the week after Jan. 1.
