Edited.....the Elizabethan costume is NOT online, but I think you may have seen the shirt in the top pic, pink/white dress in the middle, and purple dress coat in the bottom pic

Nice article Larisa, you did a great job of coming up with ways to save. The quote "...she spends $200 a year shopping for her children's clothing..." does that include the fabric and notions for the kids' cloths? Good job! ;-)

Most years it does . I take the kiddos with me to JoAnns and Walmart *at least* twice a year after we've chosen patterns, and they pick out fabrics. We usually do a great job finding things they like on sale, and if we can't, then it waits for a while until we are able to find the fabrics that they like/want. Sometimes, we can't find the fabrics they want on sale, and on those years, it can go up to $300. That includes at least 1 new pair of sneakers, but it doesn't include winter coats because my mother usually buys them for the children on clearance. Since I make most of my own clothing, and hubby doesn't usually buy new clothing until his wear out...well.....we really don't spend that much money on clothing at all. I have a stash of notions because, once again, mother shopped clearance when a few stores were going out of business, so I have numerous zippers, buttons, binding, etc.

Great article, Congratulations. You come over very well, and of coutse the sewing is lovely( almost goes without saying)
