OT: New parts

I'll be off for a few days. DH needs some new parts. He's having a knee replacement done tomorrow. He has been in so much pain for so long that rhe thought of surgery is a welcome one. In December he was still able to walk 5-6 miles a day, now he can hardly get from one room to another.I've been so worried that he would fall and do harm to himself. The doctor says he should be able to hit golf balls in about 3 weeks; play 9 holes of golf in about 6, with a cart; walk his miles in 3 months and go back to running next year. Knowing DH the way I do, it wouldn't surprise me to see him take 3 months off the running schedule. See you all soon. Happy Sewing

Best of luck to him. FIL, 85, has cancelled a similar op due today, as MIL is still in hospital... :( Prayers welcome!

My mom had her knees replaced 20 years ago, and she walked better five days after surgery than she had for years before. And knee replacements are even better now than they were back then.

Dear Friends, DH came home this morning.HE did very well and the doctor saw no reason to keep him in the hospital. He starts back to therapy on Wednesday. No the painful part for him. Thanks again for all your good thoughts. I'm off to take a nap. Juno
