[OT] Valentine's Day

When we were both young, skinny, and much in love, DH always bought me a two pound box of assorted chocolates in a big red satin box. It was one of his more endearing qualities, he never forgot special occasions, anniversaries or birthdays.

I just treated myself, although to a smaller box. ;-)

Beverly, resisting the temptation...for now...

I will, although I'll try hard to spread the joy out over a couple of weeks. ;-}

Just enjoy it. It's only once a year, after all. Or does the Easter Bunny leave you a basket? ;-)

If I had the money I'd invested in dentistry.....well, I don't, do I? And have nothing to show for it, either.

Not even some pearly whites? ;-)

Well, these new ones are whiter than the last set. It seems that it's now considered more natural looking to have whiter teeth. Styles change, even in teeth.

Yeah, the "tooth whitener" industry has really cranked up the last few years. Unfortunately, my porcelain crowns cannot be whitened do the rest of them have to stay the way they are.

I don't think I can use those whiteners on mine. ;-) I have to settle for Polident.

Most of mine are still the originals, albeit with full crowns. The ones I lost completely I had replaced with implants. Pricey, but terrific!

You're very lucky, and have a very good dentist. There's a dentist here who delayed his retirement because of so many former patients who had gotten implants and had to have them removed. He didn't put them in, but he took them out.

I'll have to admit that I love my teeth. They never hurt, and I can eat without pain. Not to mention all the torture sessions with dentists and hygienists that I don't have any more. No more experiments.
