In 2015. Thanks a bunch. By then, they'll be putting recordings on disks the size of my thumbnail.
They aren't already?
Some of my camera flash cards are hardly larger than a postage stamp, and hold TONS of data.

Hmm....yes, that's true. Say, you do that innocent look very well!
Practice, practice, practice....

Indeed! ;-)

i have noticed many times that wikipedia has been eshewed here in alt.sewing and some other places
I am just wondering why ? (other than the fact that it is a community input compilation)
I use it frequently as a starting point to look up information and i can't remember ever finding any grossly erroneous information. Occassionally i might find something that i think deserves a bit more mention than given or is more significant or missing some details but that may be my own personal bias.
Does anyone have any experience with wiki reviews regarding the quality and why it could not be a useable source ?

I only have my own experience and because of that I know it's not reliable.

K. Here's some laurels. You know what to do.
Wiki is quite usable. It's just not authoritative.
Even sources that *are* authoritative are not 100% reliable. Always check for yourself, or, when that isn't possible, compare several independent sources.

The End. Whaddayoumean, I want the last word?
Do you have any of the one-sided heavy records like some, if not all of Enrique Caruso's, were done? All this conversation reminds me I really need to get out the recordings that DS inherited when his aunt died. I know at one time she had a large collection of them and the early 78s.
I have finally cleaned up her sewing machine, a Kenmore from the late
50s-early 60s, so I can start using it tomorrow. It looks similar to my old 1961 Singer, except, of course, it is not a slant-needle, but it does many of the same decorative stitches, though. I intend to make DGD a pair of skorts & a shirt for play. She saw someone wearing a pair at the horse show last weekend and was intriqued with the them, she said "Gramma, they look like a skirt in front, but they are shorts in the back." So naturally, I told her I would make her a pair, not realizing I already have a pattern; I must have bought it thinking it was a pair of shorts last year or the year before. I'm using some light blue twill-looking knit, I'll let you know how they come out. Emily

Well said.
That's good advice too.
