Don and I started going to hockey games the first year we were married, and have been season ticket holders every years since. We also took both DDs all through high school and they are both still fans.
Actually I was thinking that would be the best outcome as well. I could just imagine the sort of reception USA visitors would have received in Vancouver if the U.S. team(s) had won. Not that Canadians aren't the politest people in the world, but hockey is SERIOUS.
I'm pretty sure my DD 15 miles away heard me yell when the U.S. tied it up with 24 seconds left. ;-)
