Pattern Sale!

Thanks for letting us know. I don't have a local Joann's in SC. Does anyone know when Hancock's is having a pattern sale? Now and then I need a few new ones. Thanks! Barbara in SC

Thank you, Beverly for the post about patterns on sale at TSWLH. I have almost quit shopping in their stores over the past few years, but I do have a gift card, courtesy of a DD, and can use it for patterns this weekend. That is, if the temperatures drop enough for me to get out of the house. From the weather reports, it is supposed to only go up to 96-degrees on Thursday. The report's headline stated, "Freezing by Thursday." LOL.

JoAnn's stores here have either been closed or consolidated and had major "upgrades". Now the few remaining ones are mostly craft stores, but they still carry enough notions and patterns to make a trip there worthwhile. :-|

Headline writers with a sense of humor??? Must be a Texas thing....

We're about to the point that if it's only 96, we need a light sweater. The local weather guy here said that this is the hottest summer on record for Ft. Smith, AR (about 45 minutes south of me and at a lower elevation.) It's not quite the hottest summer for northwestern AR (where I am) because a few summers during the DUST BOWL were hotter. Yeah. Thanks for that little gem there, bucko.

A cold front is supposed to be coming here over the weekend. May only have highs in the 80's. Wanna come visit, Emily? :)

My son didn't tell me where he found the headline,"Freezing Thursday"; I am certain it came from a newswriter in TX. It was 104-degrees here yesterday and the same or higher is expected today, and only 94 on tomorrow. Emily
