There were seven cakes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple. Only 3 got touched at the reception. I suggested to other sis (who secretly eloped to Niagara Falls a few weeks back) that, since they hadn't had an official cake, perhaps Gwen would share. Didn't like the idea.
BTW I was impressed with the "catering." A U-U friend made little sandwiches (using bread, croissants, and crackers). There was fresh fruit, nuts (!!), trail mix, veggies, cheese & crackers. They did run out of punch fast. Bro was real concerned about this $100 reception, and he was lobbying to arrive early and stop by a Kroger for a deli tray. I told him to have an early dinner instead and let this third-timer plan her own thing.
No one wandered around pushing Hershey's hugs or kisses on anyone. While they were cutting the cake I grabbed a glass and a plastic spoon and did the percussion thing. (This is my job at weddings, when I'm not calling dances.) Gwen seemed to like that part.
