Trust me, Emily, the laser correction is even more a "walk in the park" than the surgery. It was done in the doctor's office, required NO anesthesia, and I drove myself home after.

She should be old enough for contacts eventually. And maybe Lasik? I have offered my DGS Lasik as a college graduation gift if he chooses to have it. He has the most GORGEOUS eyes and eyelashes, it's a shame to hide them behind glasses.

Glad to have the info on the 'laser teatment'; I'm keeping notes on all the information.

Neither DS or DDIL have mentioned Lasik or contacts, but I'm certain they are thinking of it.

Like Beverly, I had a post-cataract laser treatment in the doctor's office for one eye. It's a truly nifty gadget that uses two beams of light, and only "works" at the point where both lightstreams meet, so there's no possibility of damage. They line up one light, turn it off, line up the second, then activate both for something like a millisecond. That's all it takes.
