Question re 'Walking Foot Sewing Machine"

Harbor Freight Tools has an inexpensive "Heavy Duty" sewing machine on sale.

I am looking for a "walking foot" machine. I know what they are. I wonder if the machine on sale, "Link Style Needle Feed" is another way of saying "walking foot".

Any comments, advice appreciated.

BTW on most of the HF tools you are able to view the owner's manual. I looked at the parts diagrams and it looked like the presser foot simply goes up and down, as opposed to 'walking'. However, I might be misinterpreting the diagrams.

Thanks,

I've got a machine called a Thompson mini-walking foot machine. I think this is what you are looking for. It's a light industrial, portable, with a built-in walking foot much like the TOL Pfaff home machines.

Needle feed means just that. The needle moves forward and back to feed the material. It is not a walking foot machine.
