Rebekah as baby Jesus

LOL!!!

Speaking of Rebekah as babu Jesus....the pageant went very well. She was a doll the entire time, right up until 5 seconds before she went into my arms, then seh started fussing. Turns out, she had a burp that we hadn't gotten out earlier - fortunately, she waited until I got her out of teh sanctuary before letting ir rip!!! Everybody loved her and said what a great job she did.

Now Tom, on the other hand, was way out of line, but then again, he was the youngest sheep up there. He did annoy the director/writer of the pageant (just found out tonight that she had written it) when he kept sitting down and trying to scoot off the stage. He was allowed back up to finish and then he came and sat with me for a little bit, then went to dad. He was being quite the ham - pointing at me, waving, and finally, turning around and around, until he fell on his butt! Dad has said no more until he gets a little older, and I agree.

All in all, not a bad night! Forgot to mention that my mother and grandmother got here in time to see the entire show, and we got a visit from our deacon and his wife as well, which is nice. We are friends with them outside of church, and the visit was not an expected one, but it was nice to sit and talk with them for a while. I am hoping that teresa and I can go to Sam's Club the day after Christmas because I wanted to get Dick a tie there (he has a collection of religious ties) and she was going to get a gift card from JoAnns, but now it looks like i will just give her money to put towards the next grandson quilt that she is going to make. Also need to price hardwood flooring there since i figured it will cost $1600 to buy the flooring that i want from Home Depot (and $1600 to redo our kitchen with the cabinets that we want.....and that is in addition to whatever the cost will be for new tile!).
