regarding the restaurant cushions

Well, 2 of the 3 new cushions for the restaurant are finished!! I'm taking a break from the vinyl for a while so that I can clean up the sewing room a bit and get some *fun* sewing done - like my son's shirt and decorative stitching on my daughter's jeans.

Hubby deemed my workroom a fire hazard because of the stacked school papers, fabric for the client, and fabric for my personal projects, which is why I'm trying to clean it up. So far, I've dug out enough to find the futon (now has the finished cushions stacked neatly on it) and the carpet (needs serious vacuuming). I have taken out the old batting that was spray glued to the old foam in the original cushions, and my room smells better (we dubbed the odor eau de old ass, stale beer, and ancient smoke). I still need to take another box out to the garage for donation to Goodwill, and of course, eventually I will need to itemize everything before I cart it all off, but at least the room is getting done.

I will probably get the vacuuming done tomorrow since the children are already in their rooms. However, Mother left 3 boxes of stuff for the children to be wrapped up - 1 box for DDs birthday, and 1 each for Christmas, so I might just wrap them tonight and stash them away for a few months.

Anyway, that's the update

Oh Mirjam! You are too sweet (and I think we "met" on a needlework group some time ago, but not sure). Really, there's a method to my madness and work....I'm a bit on the ADHD side and when we have horrid gray, rainy days (which we have had for the entire week), I find that non-stop work is the only thing that keeps me from getting depressed and miserable.

I didn't get as much as I had planned done yesterday, but that's ok, there's always today - after the grocery shopping (gotta love being able to shop with NO children begging for junk that you can't afford and can't name half the ingredients in, right?). I'm also thinking that, while the kids are in school is the perfect time to wrap their stuff and get it hidden away, so the workroom might just have to wait until this weekend...no use stressing over it, and I don't want to pull my back out again, so I'm just going to take today fairly easy (when compared to my usual days).

Larisa, plugging right along and getting things done as I can
