Sale on patterns

DSIL is a pharmacist, but I'm not certain she would like pill bottles, small scales, etc. She does like animals and birds, though, so I could pick a couple parrots or something similar. With the older DD, it's a no-brainer, she's been riding horses since she was

3-YO and loves it. One wall in their den is almost covered with ribbons and different awards. It seems the younger one is going in the same direction. DS is the inspiration for loving horses; DSIL tolerates them, though.

Thanks, Kay. That's food for thought. I have a knock-off of the Dazor that I got at Office Depot on sale for under $30, and I really like it. It's probably sufficient for my needs.

I have a lamp very similar in appearance to that which DH brought home from work (he worked for an oscilloscope manufacturer, and as they got new stuff the old was sent to the "company store" for re-sale re-cycling). I would have to make a run downstairs to see if it has a brand name. I used it extensively when I was hand sewing the kilt pleats. Not pretty, but *very* useful.

Thanks, Kay, very useful information!

You're welcome. It may pay to buy a quarter yard of several different ones, and test them. Mine fuse a fairly low temp, and stand up to washing and drying, don't make the fabric too stiff, etc.

I make take the opportunity of the sale to bring one home for a "test drive".

That's a good idea, Beverly; pharmacists do use many abbreviations.

But I am not crazy about putting adhesive on my embroidery machine. Right now I have a very small "Tensor" gooseneck lamp I use there which works quite well.

Thanks, I'm headed over to TSWLTH to see if one wants to come home with me. ;-)
