Serger actly sickly :(

LOL! The "screening" I referred to was literal: he had to use a little sieve-like thingy to try to catch the stones if/when they come out. He did eventually have an IVP (Intravenous Pyelogram Radiography (X-ray) in order to locate exactly where in the kidneys they resided. Later he had lithotripter done to break them up.

I hope the scope locates the d___d things, and the docs are able to coax them out. Muscle relaxers, bring 'em on....

BEI Design stood on a soapbox and shouted to anyone who would listen :

the screen, yes. They are going to retrieve this thing today with some sort of scope as it's lodge in the narrowest point of the uretar down by the bladder. I go in this afternoon. We've been waiting asmost a week for this thing to self extract.

Are your tonsils floating in cranberry juice? Best of luck with getting rid of the blasted things! Pain meds are good, but don't run a sewing machine if you're feeling foggy.

Cea said,

Ok.....I did the chalk/paper experiment and it didn't smear...even when running it by foot pedal or turning the handwheel. I couldn't feel a burr on the looper with my fingernail. I did change the upper blade and it no longer skips stitches. It still makes the little clicking noise and still will not stitch a chain without fabric...it just produces these little wads of thread. It WILL serge fine though. Go figure.

Oh well, maybe Best Sew in Knoxville, TN can look her over. Hope it's something fairly simple to fix.

Penny, when I had those wretched things (many long years ago) my Dr. told me the old German prescription for them was to "drink beer and jump rope". Unfortunately, I do not care for beer!!!

Re: Serger sick/ Checking out new sergers snipped-for-privacy@cetinvalid.com (Penny=A0S) got stoned legally and muttered:

do them both at the same time, you'll be amazed at the results. Ron's prices are so good that I bought 2 or 3 of both top and bottom. I think it's BS that they say never to replace the top blade.

I really like my Viking 910. I haven't much used the rolled hem, but I'm sure Kate has. :-). It runs like a trooper and I don't need to do much adjusting to get a nice stitch.

I'm going to roll the hems on the lining of the bridesmaid dresses, as they are circular. Pix on the way - sometime!
