serger feathering

I have a Euro-pro 543dx (aka babylock prestige) and can NOT for the life of me avoid heavy feathering. I know light feathering is a good thing, but this is terrible looking.

I've tried adjusting the tension on my overlock threads, adjusting stitch length, adjusting the stretchiness. Nothing seems to really work (Adjusting the overlock thread tension helps some, but then it pulls on the straight stitch and makes it abnormal)

I hope this is making some sort of sense. I share images if that helps.

Thank you!

avoid heavy feathering.

Please define feathering -- is it raveled out raw edges? If so, the usual cause is not-sharp serger blade, or gunked-up serger blade (try wiping with rubbing alcohol or high-test vodka on a scrap of cotton to clean off the gunk on the blade) or a cutting width issue.

When was the last time you had it serviced?

It may need new knives, or an adjustment to the knives (which can go out of alighment).
