Serger help needed

I'm trying to do a mock blanket stitch on my serger and not getting anywhere. When I test the edge pulls in so that it looks like I'm pulling on a draw string and when I take it off the machine and straiten out the edge the stitches all come out. I'm using woolly nylon in the loopers with the tension up to 7.5 a decorative embroidery thread in the needle, tension at zero.and a brand new needle #14. Juno

I forgot to mention that I'm working on some JoAnn's fleece that someone asked me to do an edge on. Juno

I'm doing the first version exactly as it's written. I have it printed out and next to my machine. I tried the nets and they run right up my woolly so and create havoc so I took them off. Next I'll try turning the differentaial to 2 and see if that helps. No more tonight, to tired, probably won't have time again for a couple of days, got to cut the Christmas tree down, decorate it, and go to a million appointments. I'll be lucky if I get back to the machine before Thursday afternoon or Friday. maybe that's what I really need to do, give it a rest. Juno

I've never done that with my serger. I will play with some scraps and see what I can come up with. I'll try to do that before Thursday and maybe I'll have something useful to tell you by then.

I'm so sorry it's fighting back. :(

Thanks Sharon, If it didn't fight me, what would I do for fun?? I think you know my philosophy, No piece of fabric or machine will get the best of me. IF i get a chance today I'll try it with some solvy on top of the fabric, move the knife around a little and of course re-thread again from scratch. It looks like it's going to rain this afternoon so I don't think we'll be heading out to cut a tree. Gotta get my concolour fir before their all gone. Juno
