I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe complimentary solids, rather than flowery prints. Sort of like the YSL "Mondrian" styles of the 70s.

If I made this pattern with solids, I'd be a bit concerned about being mistaken for a member of the Swiss Guard.

I think that I would use prints, but they would not appear randomly chosen. I might include some vertical stripes or checks.

Lime green and royal blue look great together.

Even then it would still be a bit much for me. I'm just too short to wear things with a whole lot going on....I disappear. lol
