Before you go to too much trouble I'll just warn you that my cat really hated the sequined Elvis jumpsuit........it's still in the closet. The gerbil wasn't thrilled with the prom dress either :-[

Actually my daughter has just adopted a chihuahua. He appears to be about 3 lbs. Seems to object to going out in the cold. Thought I might try to sew him a couple of simple things...........not necessarily with sequins though! ha!

LMAO!!! Now I'm going to have to make one for my cat. That's too funny! Thanks for the laugh, Val. I needed that.

A friend of mine, with a small dog made a sweatshirt-like garment for her dog out of the sleeve of a used sweatshirt. Worked beautifully.

I just got done making a warm up suit for my Jack Russell Terrier from KwikSew pattern 3076

I made up view D, the full body suit, in size small. The cuffs were a PITA to put on, but other than that it made up quick and easy.

But did you ever make a "santa" hat for a snake? I did, and I got the pictures of her wearing it to prove it ;o)

Re: Sewing for Pets Laughing maniacally!! Val, you're a critter dresser after my own heart! Ever tried to vacuum a cat? Or, worse results yet, tried to shower with one? "Why?" You ask. Why, to wash the fleas down the drain, of course. Seemed a brilliant solution to me at the time. Of course, I knew very little about cats, right up to when he got loose, ran to the top of the vinyl shower curtain, and shredded it into strings on his way back down... The tracks on my arms can be explained very easily...and legally. (I suppose showering with a cat is legal. But it shouldn't be.) Cea

I have a chihuahua mix that hated the cold weather, soooo I dressed her in preemie clothes from the Goodwill and Salvation Army. A few items needed to be altered a little. The tiny baby sweaters worked real well. She was about 6 pounds. I wore a backpack backwards and kept her in there until she became brave enough to venture around the house. I also diapered her which prevented house-breaking accidents. She would not go in the diaper, so she stayed dry until we got outside. The kids in the neighborhood thought I had a pet monkey. It was a scream! She wore the clothes until she was 2yrs old. She then let me know that she desired to be nudist and hasn't dressed up since. Astrid

**peering at Cea over the tops of my glasses, one eyebrow raised**

Even if an activity is technically legal, BOTH parties should be consenting. If both parties are consenting it can be considered a bit kinky, if only ONE party comes up with some weird idea and coerces, entices, tricks or just plain bullies the other party it can be considered pervy. Now the fact that you sincerely seemed to be ignorant of the consequences of showering with a cat actually excuses the first incident. If such an incident should occur a second time ...........we want FILM!!....ROTFL....*wiping tears*

Val (just a little worried since Cea's reason to shower with a cat is starting to make sense)
