D for me, I sew for myself as I cannot get anything to fit me from the shops without alteration and also for pleasure. I have not found many people who sew for a living using domestic sewing machines, they are far too slow. Funnily enough most of the people working in sewing machine shops selling fabric are dressmakers who could not earn enough or found it too isolated, but there are a few people who do alterations and some curtain makers around.
