Wow!! I've looked at a few posted here and I haven't even scratched the surface! Lots of great ideas and very good ones, too, more to look at and glean some great tips. Thanks for this great site.

REally, lots of good ideas but, seriously, a little intimidating for me who still hasn't gotten anywhere with her sewing room yet. OK, I sorted the stash into transparent plastic boxes and thus am now able to access it any time without wakind DD. Still, there is so much left to do and so much other work... My library's still in my old place and I had planned to get it out of there before the house breaks down (no joke) or at least before easter. But since I'm not getting anywhere, or so it seems, I'll have to postpone that. I had planned to do a little today but I suddenly remembered that I had to do some important paperwork. Well, maybe later... And then I'll send pics!

Glad you liked it. :-))

What I REALLY liked about that site was the number of very, very, very messy sewing rooms. I felt right at home with those and had more difficulty being interested in the neatsy poo ones. If you are really feeling overwhelmed at what you still need to do, have a look at the U-tube clip and once you've seen that, you'll feel much, much better. It'd take a bulldozer or several sticks of dynamite to sort that room out.

I should have mentioned that the u-tube clip of the really messy room can be found by using the link at sewing room 102

Thanks for adding this. After looking at a couple beautifully organized sewing rooms, I gave up looking in a fit of depression. With 4 kids in a three bedroom house, a beautiful sewing room is not happening. Seeing this made me feel ill and dizzy from the jerking camera, but left me feeling much better about my sewing situation.

:-)) I was specifically looking for the messy ones. I'm sure that the neat rooms never produce anything but a hemmed table napkin :-))
