I made a run to Joann's in the cold last night and used a -50% cp. to pick up the latest Threads issue. Darn it, I missed getting last month's issue.. Looking at Joann's sale flyer, Vogue patterns are $3.99 each, if you can find the #s you want, which is rare. They also have a new shipment of double-faced quilted fabric for those of you into Vera Bradly style purse-making. Check their online offerings. I finally found fabric to sash a quilt I am making for the oldest GDD, so that's one search party which can be called off. Whew. The print is a little busier than I wanted, but at least it has the right colors and scale. I don't want this to drag out 'till the kid is

18, which was where it was headed. Lost count of the projects I am involved with, which are delayed for one thing or another. Many of them get bumped because the client's work always comes first. (That way, I've got the funds to add another project to the endless pile, see?) I'm making a fleece robe for me, now that winter is almost over. I mentioned late timing: last Thurs., I had a fitting scheduled for a client who just happens to be a shrink. He's the most cheerful, happy-go-lucky guy you'd ever meet, and as drifty as a soup sandwich. Always late, this time by a week, as it turned out. Bit of a surprise to have him banging at the door a week late, and an hour after the original appt. setting. How can you scold a client who seems ... not quite right. I believe I will start calling clients to remind them of their fitting day. It actually worked out well, though, 'cause I had an asthma/sinus gig going for the better part of the last two weeks, and I was almost over it this Thurs. Got a new catalog from Newark Dressmaker Supply this morning. Now, off to sew, and I'll curl up later with my sewing mags and catalogs. Cea
