Skid proof stuff

Is there a product like that found on the bottom of children's footie pajamas that can be purchased for home use ? If so what is it called and where may it be purchased? Dot in Tennessee

I know you can buy the dotty stuff by the yard, but I'm not sure where. I'll have a look round...

One brand name that I know of is called Jiffy Grip. A lot of fabric and craft stores sell it, including JoAnn's. Or you can do a search on Google.

I buy it in JoAnn's by the yard. It comes in packages as well. WalMart may have it too.I just ask for gripper fabric. Juno

And if all else fails, you can find summer placemats ($1, typical bright colors) in a rubbery grid pattern, or kitchen shelf liner stuff.

Or use some rug gripper stuff (sold near the throw rugs in almost any big box). Lifetime supply!

Or paint the sole with puff paint (a T-shirt decoration product), let dry, heat with a hair dryer.

Hey, great that somebody did ask this question, I was looking for such stuff, too, but hadn't gotten round to asking. Christine got a pair of lovely wool plush slippers for Christmas, but they are far too big to fit her now. They will, however, when she starts walking around. Alas, parquet floor and wool are the most unfortunate combination for a toddler who takes his or her first steps (though they are essential for an indoor, non-freeze, skating rink) ;-)

Does the puffy paint need high temperatures? If not, it would be ideal for those shoes. On the other hand, another extra sole might not be wrong, either. I'll think about it...

Puffy paint is sold with the other fabrics paints (usually). I used it to re-tread the bottoms of the footed pajamas that got passed from DS to DD (generic colors, not gender-specific colors). Just squeeze a blob and move on...just make sure that it dries completely before trying to move the entire thing. I had the sleepers all out on the dining room table and just went from foot to foot, leaving raised polka-dots on each one.
