I just finished a soft chair for my granddaughter, and would like to put some type of stain resistant stuff on the outside. It can be washed, but would like to help it along in between times. Anyone know of something that would be safe to put on something a 2 year old will be on? I'm in the US. TIA! Jamie

I used Scotchgard spray on a raincoat I made. It works just fine. I also Scotchgarded my furniture and that worked fine, too. I can't remember exactly but the directions say you can wash the item, but I'm not sure if you need to respray again or wash it a few times before you respray it.
