Starting a Sewing Group?

I'd like to actually meet with real sewers if possible, at my house, or at the local community center. I live in Middletown/Wallkill near Scotchtown (Orange County New York, of course) Is this being posted to Hudson Valley members only?

This is an international group.it is unlikely that you will find many people in the Hudson Valley that other than me. I live too far from Walkill to be able to meet with you. However stay with us, post your questions and answers to questions that come up and you can help with. There are few rules. Here. The biggest being don't try to sell us anything and try not to be rude.We are a very congenial group and I think you will enjoy being with us. We have some very qualified people posting here. We also have beginners and people with a modest amount of experience. So let me be the first to welcome you in anticipation that you will stay with us. Juno

I was snarky to OP, and there was really no call for it. My Bad.

I wouldn't call it snarky, more right to the point. I always know when you're snarky and didn't see it that way. Don't worry, you know I'll come right our andsay it if I feel it's necessary.

Welcome and I hope you will continue to post to alt.sew This is an international group from many countries. It may take awhile to get to know the different name and countries but we are a helpful group who will answer your sewing questions. Happy sewing! Barbara in SC

This is Usenet. All your snarks belong to us.

This is one of the least snarky groups in existence.

Here is a thought for you. Why not join your local ASG chapter. ASG is the American Sewing Guild. They have a website and local chapters most everywhere.

That is certainly true of the ones I read on a regular basis. Flame wars the likes of which are never seen here.
