Strawberry pincushion template

Does anyone in the group have a template for a strawberry shaped pincushion? I remembered that I had seen such a template on the Martha Stewart web site, yet when I entered the search term, the link that resulted led to a dead end, as the template which was once available won't come up now.

Once more, a lesson learned, to print something when I first see it, rather than pass by with the thought that I'll get back to it later.

Thanks, and Happy Spring to all!

I didn't get the pincushion template either, but I did spend more time than I anticipated on that web site. What a wealth of learning there is.

Thank you. Also agree with Betty, if and when you find something on the internet, download it, or next time you look it could be gone :-(

How complicated is it? It seems like it would just be a cone with the top gathered in. Am I missing something?

That's what I was thinking, too. Probably a quarter circle, maybe a half circle, stuffed, gathered at the top, and with some green felt leaves stitched to the top. If I wanted to make some, I'd play around with some scraps to get the pattern right.

Thanks for your kind gesture. It's especially frustrating to have access to the article on the web site, but not to the template. Curses!

have you emailed the site admin? i'm sure they'd want to know a link is bad so they can fix it. the MS site is huge, so sometimes these things happen accidentally & they really do want to know about it.

Hey, I just thought of something!! ;)

If the link to the template used to work, and now doesn't, you might try the Wayback Machine:

put in the URL you want to look up and click the Take Me Back button. It's really nifty! If they have the site archived (and it's scary how manysites they have archived!) it will bring up the old site and a list ofdates. Just click on one of those and see if you can find what you needed. HTH
